JMSF Young Enterprise Sponsorship

J Marr (Seafoods) Limited is supporting the award for ‘Innovation and Entrepreneurship’ and in particular is supporting the Chiltern Primary School in Hull, through their ‘Our World’ programme. In this category, the children explore the world and how far everyday items have to travel, why food is imported/exported and what is global trade. Mr Michael Moore, Managing Director at J Marr (Seafoods) Limited, recently presented Year 6 pupils with their certificates for taking part in the Young Enterprise Scheme.

The annual regional (Yorkshire & Humber) Young Enterprise awards for secondary school pupils took place on Thursday 17 June 2010 on board the Pride of Rotterdam ferry at the King George Dock, Hull. The JMSF sponsored award for Innovation and Entrepreneurship was presented by Mr Michael Moore to the winning team, Gibsights; their winning entry being an MP3 walking tour of Gibraltar.

Gibsights were also awarded the Company of the Year trophy and will now represent the region at the national finals to be held in London later in the year.

The Sunday Football League incorporates teams from Beverley, Hull, Hessle and the surrounding areas – in total, over 450 teams are involved in the league, of varying ages.

By producing a professional fixture list, experience has proven this takes away a great deal of administration/organisation from the individual team managers and also ensures that all players (and their parents) are aware of who, where and when they will be playing throughout the season. The fixture list is produced twice per season, ensuring that all re-scheduled games are captured in the second production.

Through company sponsorship, the individual football leagues will receive a sum of money to help fund any additional costs that teams may incur.

J.Marr (Seafoods) Presentation with Hull City AFC / Nigerian International footballer Seyi Olofinjana

Seyi made 11 appearances for Hull City and scored a fantastic goal in the game against Stoke City. Unfortunately his season was disrupted by a hamstring injury which was picked up whilst on International Duty playing for Nigeria against Kenya in November last year.

Mr Michael Moore, Managing Director at J Marr (Seafoods) Limited, was presented with a framed and signed shirt by Seyi at the KC Stadium, the home ground of Hull City.

CIFAS Football Academy - Sponsorship 2010

The students at CIFAS have enjoyed excellent success at National level during 2009. On an International level, we are pleased to report that Benin will be sending an Under 16 team to the ‘38^th World Youth Tournament’, to be held at Montaigu, France 30^th March – 07^th April 2010.
